Circulation and Book Lending Services
The College of Nursing and Midwifery, Tanoso Library is committed to providing easy access to resources that support learning, teaching, and research within the college community. The library offers lending services to its registered users and access to a wide range of materials for study and reference.
Who Can Borrow?
The following are bonafide users of the library who can borrow materials:
While members of the local community are welcome to use the library for reference purposes and access materials on-site, borrowing privileges are restricted to registered users only.
Borrowing Materials
Borrowing privileges vary depending on the user's category. The guidelines are as follows:
Borrowing is subject to the availability of the material, and items in high demand may be subject to shorter loan periods.
Identification for Borrowing
Users must provide valid identification (such as a student ID or staff ID) when borrowing materials. External borrowers must present appropriate documentation and their guarantor's approval.
Returning/Recalled Materials
The library reserves the right to recall materials before the due date if they are needed by other users. In such cases, the borrower must return the item within three (3) days of being notified of the recall. Failure to comply will result in fines.
Fines for Overdue Materials
Renewals
Books may be renewed in person or online, provided there is no pending request for the item. Renewals are allowed only once per loan period.
Damaged or Lost Materials
Borrowers are responsible for the care of all materials checked out. In case of damage or loss, users will be required to pay for the replacement cost of the item or provide an equivalent replacement, subject to library approval.
